Here at Gaga Goods, "spreading smiles to little ones everywhere" is not just a motto, it's a mission. We donate 5% of every single sale to a number of children's charities. Each year, we select two (or more) charities that will benefit from these donations.

A cause very near and dear to our heart as we lost our daughter (and baby sister), Jenna Claire, on January 2, 2004 to the mystery of stillbirth. Born still at 39 weeks due to unknown causes, we are honored to donate in her name to these two organizations working to reduce stillbirth of all causes (and specifically those 15,000 annual deaths like hers due to ”unidentifiable causes“) as well as offer support to the many families recovering from the pain of infant loss.

Throughout the year, we're also honored to donate gift baskets and gift certificates to aid a variety of organizations who do very important work. Here are just a few of the recent organizations to which we've donated products in the hopes of spreading smiles:

Children&rlquo;s Hospital of Iowa - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

In honor of another special girl (Hi Maddy!) receiving care here, we donated some Snuggly Gift Sets (and with the help of some generous neighbors) a gift bag filled with toys & loveys for the other little ones.

Josh & Gus&rlquo;s Run for a Reason - Supporting SUDC

We&rlquo;re honored to be donating to this event this Fall in an effort to bring awareness & support to this very worthy cause. Josh and Gus were more than a year old when they passed away, so their deaths are not considered Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Instead, they belong to a lesser-known category called Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), which describes the death of healthy children after their first birthday. This diagnosis of exclusion is made after a thorough investigation yields no conclusive reason for the death. Since SUDC is so rare, few resources exist to explore possible causes and steps for its prevention. The money raised at this event assists in funding critical research efforts for Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood.

In their first three years, over 3,000 participants in Josh and Gus&rlquo;s Run For a Reason events have helped to raise over $150,000 to fund SUDC research and support services for SUDC families! Recent medical research on SUDC, in part funded by Josh and Gus, is now pushing SUDC into the national media spotlight.

Stevenson Quintuplets

We were touched to hear the story of the Stevenson quintuplets in Keyport, Washington. Imagine five babies to care for and a big sister too! We were happy to send Mom & Dad our long-sleeve snugglies to keep their babies cozy this Winter...along with a Big Sister tee for the special big helper in the house. We also custom-designed personalized notecards for their "five peas in a pod" that since inspired us to add four peas and five peas to our designs. Just know, however many peas in your pod, Gaga Goods has you covered!
